Some of my favorite interweb sites:
• The University Press the student newspaper of Lamar University.
• The Texas Interscholastic Press Association the oldest collegiate press association in the nation and one of the largest and most respected collegiate groups in the country.
• The Interscholastic League Press Conference student press association of the University Interscholastic League was created by The University of Texas at Austin to provide leadership and guidance to public school debate and athletic teachers. Since 1910 the UIL has grown into the largest inter-school organization of its kind in the world.
• The Poynter Institute and Poynter’s News University are two great resources for professional journalists for training and current events in the industry.
• The Texas Association of Journalism Educators one of the best resources for journalism advisers in K12 schools. Great tips, student contests and teaching resources.
• The Art Studio, Inc. a Beaumont, Texas based art collective for working artists, art education and all-around good times that I’ve been a part of for 22 years.
• Online Journalism Blog interesting and thought provoking journalism education blog from across the pond by Paul Bradshaw of Birmingham City University, England.
